We are happy to share that AIndra Labs has been selected as one of the FINALIST for the presentation and PoC demonstration in the Stage-2 of the evaluation process for Defence India Startup Challenge (DISC 2) from Indian Airforce and was recognized at the Startup Manthan organized by the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India on the sidelines of Aero India 2019, in Bangalore on 21st Feb 2019.

The second edition of Defence India Start-Up Challenge, which is an initiative by the Defence Innovation Organization in partnership with Atal Innovation Mission, aims at supporting Startups and innovators to create prototypes and/or commercialize products/solutions in the area of National Defence and Security. The evaluation was undertaken by the High Powered Selection Committee (HPSC), constituted by the Secretary, Dept. of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. The HPSCs have been constituted individually for each of the Challenges in DISC 2, with representation from the Armed Forces (Nodal Officers appointed by Defence Headquarters of the 3 wings of Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force respectively), CEOs of Partner Incubators, highly qualified experts from industry/academia, bringing deep and diverse subject matter expertise befitting the significance of the evaluation process.

Ritabrata Bhaumik, Director & Co-Founder at Aindra Labs who attended the event was rewarded with Certificate of Recognition by Sanjay Jaju, Joint Secretary to Govt. of India at the Department of Defence Production.

AIndra Labs presented “Detection of an anomaly in Aircraft air trajectory” with the following premise:

  • The need of the hour is an efficient and realistic flight planning and airspace flow management, potentially resulting in higher safety, capacity, and efficiency which can result in fuel savings and thereby reduce emissions and reduce the impact on the environment.
